Eric and Martin Mak started M & M Windows on 1 July 1983 in a Scarborough house. The two M's are their initials. They brought the trade from Hong Kong and built the first Chinese-operated window and door installation company in Toronto.

M & M Windows opened on 1 July 1983, in a Scarborough house belonging to two brothers — Eric and Martin Mak. The M and M are their initials. They brought their trade with them from Hong Kong and became the first Chinese-operated window and door installation company in Toronto.
Forty-three years later we're still family-run, still installing across the GTA, and we still get calls about work we did in the 1980s. A homeowner comparing three online quotes has no way to tell which of those contractors will still exist in fifteen years. Forty-three years answers that question, and almost nobody in our trade can say it.
We started in residential and expanded into commercial and custom fabrication, adding our own glass division along the way. Today we work on houses, retirement residences, schools, plazas, distribution centres and places of worship — and we will still come out for one drafty window in a nursery.
Everything is quoted in writing before a single unit is ordered.

Multi-point locking hardware
The lock engages the frame at several points along its height, not at a single bolt. There is no one spot to pry.

Laminated & tempered security glass
Laminated glass holds together when struck instead of opening a hole. Tempered breaks safely. Both slow an entry down long enough to matter.

Custom reinforced stainless steel strike plates
Made to order by us. Most forced entries don't defeat the lock — they tear the strike plate out of the frame. Ours doesn't come out.
